Volbella
Juvederm Volbella is a light filler designed for smoothing fine lines around the mouth. It is perfect for treating pucker lines (“smoker’s lines”) and the loss of volume that causes lipstick to bleed outside of the border of the lips (vermillion border). Volbella is a subtle filler for volumizing the lips, and is a great choice when subtle enhancement of the lips or smoothing is desired without much enlargement of the body of the lip. It can also be used to recreate the ski-slope or cupid’s bow above the mouth that tends to flatten with aging. Vobella can also be placed in the tear throughs or under-eye area to minimize the appearance of hollows. Following a detailed consultation with your doctor, numbing cream or ice packs can be placed on the areas to be treated to minimize discomfort. The skin is then cleansed and prepped. The procedure lasts between 10-30 minutes and is well tolerated. Following the procedure, ice packs can be placed on the treated areas to minimize swelling and bruising. Avoiding strenuous exercise, heat, and sun can also decrease the risk of swelling and bruising following your procedure. Volbella is a dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a gel holding water in the skin.
