Juvederm Ultra Plus
Juvederm Ultra Plus is a filler designed to plump areas of the skin with lost volume. Similar to its sister treatment, Juvederm Ultra, it is a little more of a robust filler and can be placed deeper in the skin for more volumization. It is a great option for greater volume loss in the lower face, such as deep nasolabial folds, and can also be used in areas such as the temples, cheeks, and marionette lines. Following a detailed consultation with your doctor, numbing cream or ice packs can be placed on the areas to be treated to minimize discomfort. The skin is then cleansed and prepped. The procedure lasts between 10-30 minutes and is well tolerated. Following the procedure, ice packs can be placed on the treated areas to minimize bruising and swelling. Avoiding strenuous exercise, heat, and sun can also decrease the risk of swelling and bruising following your procedure. Juvederm Ultra Plus is a dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a gel holding water in the skin.
