VBeam
Vbeam has been long considered the gold standard in pulsed-dye lasers. Though often referred to as vascular laser because of its excellent treatment of lesions such as angiomas, port wine stains, telangiectasias and rosacea; the Vbeam has also been shown to be a safe, easy-to-use tool in the treatment of pigmented lesions, scars, spider veins, warts, and even bruising. Optimal results may require multiple treatments, but this can vary patient to patient based on area and condition treated. The treatment is quite tolerable as topical anesthesia is usually applied to the skin prior to the procedure to minimize discomfort. Downtime is minimal. Patients may be pink-red in the area treated for several hours after the procedure and mild to moderate swelling can last hours to several days. As with all laser procedures, patients must avoid sun exposure for several weeks after treatment and practice diligent sun protection and skincare after treatments to maintain results.
